About the product
Gesha is one of the most renowned coffee varieties, highly sought after for its exceptional quality and distinctive flavor profile. The plant itself grows tall, with elongated leaves, and produces oval-shaped cherries. Its flowers are known for their intense fragrance.
The Gesha we present to you is roasted omni, making it well suited for both filter and espresso preparation. Its flavor profile offers classic jasmine notes, delicate citrus tones, along with hints of vanilla and tea.
Our specialty coffee from Guatemala is sourced directly from our friends at La Serranía Farm, located in the El Progreso region within the Sierra de las Minas mountain range. The highest parts of the Sierra are home to a protected area covering approximately 100,000 hectares, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its remarkable biodiversity.
The plantation is situated in a rainforest environment, characterized by dense vegetation and high humidity. The farm lies at an altitude of 1,400 to 1,700 meters above sea level. Most of the estate is planted with pine and Inga trees, which provide shade for the coffee plants, supply organic matter to the soil, and help prevent soil erosion.
