About the product

We source our Costa Rican coffee directly from farmers, making this a true direct-trade purchase. This approach ensures that producers receive fair compensation for their work, while we gain the opportunity to collaborate closely with the farm, secure exceptional quality, and feel good about every cup.

Finca El Dragón is located in San Francisco, Costa Rica, at an elevation of 1850–1900 meters. The farm is managed by Enrique Ardón and his wife Maricruz Jiménez. This picturesque region produces much of the country’s coffee, and its high altitude contributes to greater sweetness and flavor complexity. A distinctive feature of this coffee is the small bean size.

This washed coffee is roasted for espresso and offers a balanced flavor profile. Expect sweet notes of nuts and caramel, complemented by citrusy orange tones and a crisp apple-like acidity. It performs beautifully in a manual espresso machine, automatic coffee maker, or the classic moka pot.
